The annual Rice for Cambodia Campaign finished off with hundreds of calls coming in Friday morning and resulted in over $134,000 being donated which will fund 337 tons of rice. Over 800 people gave generously.

This is our 9th year working with Musicianaries to raise funds to help the people of Cambodia. We’re saddened, however, that it is the first campaign without the Musicianaries founder and Positive Life Radio friend Bobby Michaels, who passed away last March.

This year, we were joined by Bobby’s wife, Lee, daughter Rachel Esterhuyse and Musicianaries’ board members Jim and Cheryl McCandliss. We also are blessed that Setan Lee was able to join us. Setan’s organization, TransformAsia, is the third leg of the partnership with Musicianaries and Positive Life Radio to share rice and Christ with Cambodians in need.

A 50 lb bag of rice costs approx $10 and includes a kilo bag of iodized salt. A ton of rice costs $400 and feeds 40 families for a month.

The on-air drive is completed, but your donation is still welcomed and will be included in this year's rice distribution in June.
