28 Ways in 28 Days to be the Hands & Heart of Jesus
Every day: Smile and say hello to everyone in your path. Saying hello is more than just saying hello. It’s an acknowledgment of existence and affirms the worth of another.
1.Do someone else’s household chore, without asking or telling.
2. Pray for your neighbors, and not only that, get to know them better.
3. Give your child/spouse a neck rub while naming the things you love about them.
4. Write a letter or card to encourage a friend.
5. Sign up to be a greeter or usher for a month at your church.
6. Visit someone who is in the hospital.
7. Instead of saying “hi” on Facebook, pick up the phone and have a conversation with them.
8. Compliment or affirm a co-worker who isn’t your favorite to work with.
9. Send a note of thanks to one of the hard-working school teachers in our community.
10. Make a valentine and hand-deliver it to someone who needs a little love.
11. Invite a friend you haven’t talked with for a while and treat them to coffee. Use it as an opportunity to reconnect with someone.
12. Write an encouraging note to your Pastor or church staff member.
13. Make a new friend at a nursing home.
14. Take a flower bouquet to someone who needs a day-brightener.
15. Write a letter to someone in service (police/fire/soldiers/etc).
16. Take a plate of goodies to a neighbor you don’t know very well.
